About the Bike Loan Scheme
The Bike Loan Scheme offers a great deal to students and staff who want to get about on two wheels.
Why cycle to University?
Cycling is a low cost way to get healthier and happier. Cycling 2 miles takes about 15 minutes, making it one of the quickest ways to get between University of Worcester campuses and through the city.
Who can participate?
All students and staff can join the bike loan scheme, no matter whether new or existing, undergraduate or postgraduate, full-time or part-time, home, EU or International.
Bike loan membership is on a first-come first-served basis, so be quick!
How does the scheme work? Students and staff can join by paying a £30 annual membership via the online bike loan system. Once signed up you will be able to collect your free bike helmet and start hiring quality loan bikes at no additional cost. Bikes are hired for a period of one week and are collected and returned from either St Johns Campus or City Campus main receptions.
All bikes are ready to ride, and come complete with lock, mudguards, rack are regularly checked and maintained by Spokes who also operate a weekly campus bike shop.
New bike loan members are required to attend the campus bike shop for an induction before a loan bike can be hired. The bike shop is open Wednesdays between 12:00 and 14:00.

Late return of loan bikes will generate a fine of £1 a day. Fines must be paid online in the bike loan system before rehiring a bike.
